Working Group on Peace and Security

Mandate:
This Working Group was established to coordinate activities on demilitarisation and disarmament among the sections and International WILPF, and share information and work with the Reaching Critical Will and PeaceWomen projects where relevant.

The purpose of the Working Group is to develop and promote a holistic approach to demilitarisation and disarmament efforts within WILPF, with attention to the decolonisation aspects and regional perspectives as well as global disarmament of all types of weapons systems. It is hoped that by sharing information and coordinating efforts where possible, WILPF members will gain a better understanding of demilitarisation and disarmament and our work will be more effective.
