The Universal Periodic Review

The Universal Periodic Review mechanism is quite possibly one of the most contentious topics in the Human Rights Council today. Within the first year of the Council, the Members must establish the UPR under Operational Paragraph 5(e) of the General Assembly Resolution 60/251. WILPF has been following the UPR throughout the sessions as well as the inter-sessional Working Groups.
